Neighbourhood:

The apartment is located in the heart of the lovely Saint-Germain neighbourhood, in the 7ème arrondissement which, together with the 6ème arrondissement and the Latin Quarter, is what the famous Rive Gauche is all about. The main streets of this neighbourhood are boulevard St Germain, which runs parallel to the River Seine, and rue de Rennes, which goes from Place de St Germain des Prés to Tour Montparnasse.

St Germain is known world wide for having been the chosen lieu of an entire literary class, and numerous neighbourhood places still today maintain their notoriety: the super packed Café de Flore (facing the church of St Germain des Prés) is probably the most famous of these cafés.

The narrow streets and alleys around Place St Germain des Prés are always vibrant and lively all day long, and at night time crowded with Jazz lovers attracted by all the local bars offering live music.

As for shopping, it is a real paradise: the apartment “Manuela” is nestled in the middle of the best area for art galleries, fashion and home decorating boutiques. the close by rue du Four is a must see, as is the elegant and famous Bon Marché, historically the first Parisian department store, divided into two buildings: one for high end clothes and accessories, the other for gourmet food from all over the world.
