Neighbourhood:

This apartment has an exquisite address: it is located literally just a stone’s throw away from the splendid Fontana di Trevi which is one of Rome’s most breathtaking fountains. Don’t miss tossing a coin into the water of this masterpiece of sculpture as a traditional legend holds that this ensures your return to the Eternal City.

A 10 minute walk from here brings you to the world’s most famous stairs: the Spanish Steps: From here you can either stroll through the picturesque Via Margutta lined with galleries to reach the impressive Piazza del Popolo dominated by one of Rome’s 13 obelisks or do some window shopping in the City’s prime shopping mile: the Via dei Condotti where you can buy the latest creations of international designers and, of course, fashion “made in Italy”.

Also another milestone of Rome’s long history is just a 5 minute walk away from your door: the awe-inspiring Pantheon, the temple dedicated to the main Gods and Goddesses more than 2000 years ago. Proceeding on for another couple of minutes you find yourself at the marvellous Piazza Navona where you can admire Bernini’s beautiful “Fountain of the Four Rivers”; from here you just cross the street to reach Campo de’ Fiori where you can buy delicious Italian fresh fruit and vegetables at the open daily market.

From your apartment, you can reach the Ancient part of Rome within 15 minutes, passing by the stunning Piazza Venezia dominated by the white monument to Victor Emanuel II. Behind this square, the remains of the Roman Empire await you: be it the Forum Romanum, the Colosseum or the Circus Maximus – you will have the impression to do a time travel.

Last but not least, there is a metro station near the apartment (Piazza Barberini): after 4 stops you can step out and visit St. Peter’s, the Vatican Museums and the legendary Castel Sant’Angelo.
